    JackPair reminds me of an old-school encrypting scrambler for analog telephones.

    But I've forgotten the name. Anyone?

    The problem with these is that the moment you start using them you become "more interesting."

    As more people start using privacy enhancing technology, "more interesting" loses its meaning. If enough people adopt such technology, "more interesting" will end up meaning normal, which will require them to redefine their standards in order for them to have any purpose at all. The ball is in our court once again.
