The update may be automatic but timeframe is unknown you may need to wait few days, weeks or months. So, if you do not want to wait just do a fresh install.
If you are running 13.1 you may need to fully remove it before been able to install 13.3. This is to avoid any potential issue with the antikeylogger component in 13.1.

What about 13.2? Can I install the new version over it?

Not 100% sure, but should only apply to 13.1. Also this only for ZA Security suite and Extreme.

Did you ever succeed to install it without the toolbar? :)
I suspect you are doing something wrong in pressing, for example, you click on 'next' after having clicked on skip all. Or the installer is not able to record the choice (restriction on registry or HD system locations)?

I have ZA Free FW only installed at version 11.0.768. After reading here about updates and how to install or uninstall first i am going to keep what i have installed for years to come and not bother with any new updates.

yes, the two version before the last one (i dont remember the version numbers) but with the last 2 the toolbar has been installed - in short the last 2 the toolbar has been installed despite clicking 'skip all offers' the two before that no unwanted software has been installed

and what you do exactly not to install the toolbar? And what you do after to remove it. Just curious as you seem the only one having this problem. As this was introduced rather recently, is possible that the versions you did not have a problems with had simply a different installer.

May be someone with the free version (Tarantula?) can explain you exactly the steps not to install the toolbar? :)

    Yeah, ok.
    1.Download the installer
    2.Start installation
    3.Click on "custom install"
    4.Click on "skip all offers"
    5.Proceed with installation
    That's all.

Thanks! Sounds too simple to make a mistake... weird.

I suspect that for the user the "skip all offers" is not recorded due to restriction in saving it into specific parts of the HD, like temp folders. Very difficult to troubleshoot since any application you have installed in the past can have made that change in the system. On example is crypto-prevent that defend from cryptolock restricting access to certain parts of the system but breaks many safe applications :)

This is a borderline fraudulent practice by Check Point. Why would someone choose to continually place their trust in a product provided by a company which is obviously trying very hard to milk and deceive their customers is beyond me. They are a company and their sole purpose is profit, but you are the consumer and you have a choice not to be treated as a sheep. Just stop using it. Plenty of better AV suites out there.

The process above is for the free version... you want a free suite having Kaspersky AV then push the right buttons. Not too difficult.
You don't want? Then choose another product.. no need to be so dramatic.:D But there is no free AV using Kaspersky engine.

It's way better than dealing with some random nag screens and advertisement pop-ups all the time. And I cannot agree that there are plenty of better AV suites over there.

Rating does not say much, you need to read the review. :)

Basically the AV protection part (web scanning, antikeylogger, etc) and firewall was top rating but they had problems with the parental control, the spam filter and the toolbar not compatible with IE11 (that nobody wants anyway... lol).

So if you care about protection then the review is actually very positive. If you just need a parental control and an e-mail spam filter then you are best served with something else. ;)

This is the lightest version of ZA I've ever used. Great job, Check Point!

    "Free" Zone Alarm (ZA) possibility.

If you need or have a credit monitoring service, this particular one throws in ZA as part of the package. And you get ZA at no cost for as long as you have Identity Guard.

    http://www.identityguard.com/partne...za&utm_term=tpwithza&campid=106&hid=213417630

I have that service and can tell you it's great. Alerts every time.

If you get the Costco version of that service, it's even cheaper. If you are a Costco Executive Member, it's even cheaper.

Or you can do it the other way around... get ZA and get a year of Identity Guard at no additional cost.
