I feel like a complete ninny. I just bought, downloaded and installed 2014 64 bit version. It works just fine with Windows 8.1 but I can't find how to make a bootable cd or USB flash drive. Do I need to download something else? I guess I assumed the media builder was included in the package I downloaded. Thank you.
What program are you using? If you are using a paid program, download from your account (My Downloads) the Boot Media Builder, which is a separate program, and use it to create the WinPE boot medium. You will need to download and install the WADK for Windows 8.1 software. There is another program to create recovery media, the Recovery Media Builder, but I wouldn´t use it.
Robin, I owe you an apology as I can see now I didn't clearly explain my problem. I paid for and installed Backup and Recovery 2014 expecting to find the ability to create a recovery CD/USB. When I went to https://www.paragon-software.com/landing-pages/bmb/index.html I could only find the manual for Paragon Boot Media Builder. No way to download the builder program itself. I must have missed soemthing! I did find there the statement saying the Paragon Boot Media Builder is delivered with the Backup & Recovery Home. No mention of it not being in 2014. (See below.) BTW, I did finally find the WADK package. Can you or someone else point me to where I can find the Boot Media Builder for 2014? Thanks again for your patience. from the Web page: Paragon Boot Media Builder is delivered with the following products: Hard Disk Manager Suite Professional Business Premium Partition Manager Professional Backup & Recovery Home Drive Copy Professional Virtualization Manager Professional Paragon Alignment Tool Professional Disk Wiper Professional
Create a Paragon account, or login to it if it exists. In My Downloads, you will find the links to download the latest versions of the programs that you have purchased, including Boot Media Builder. https://www.paragon-software.com/account/login.htm?from=my-account
