As the title suggests PHDM14suite doesnt contain the Boot Manager software as advertised. This has been confirmed by Paragon as an ommission due to technical issues.

I appreciate that you have offered me a version of v12 to extract it from. But I was buying in to v14 in the hope that the Boot Manager would be up to date with all the latest GUID and hidden partition requirements of Windows 8.

Every boot manager I can see hasnt caught up yet with proper GUID and EFI support. And if they do they are either command line driven and require complex command strings or they dont have true selective partition hiding.

Please Paragon when is the ETA for the new BM and is the new version able to deal with multiple blind boots, true selective partition hiding (not just hide all other primaries) GUID and EFI?

Only after this morning buying Paragon's all-in Hard Disk 14 management suite specifically to fix a boot problem and struggling for much of the day do I discover this evening via this thread that the product is Not Fit for Purpose.
Under British and I think EU law it's money back time.

On my system the "Setup Boot Manager" option is greyed out, ie. one cannot even begin to try it.

Bullet 3 on the product page says: "Make your system bootable ..."
Another product page says: "Fixes most system boot problems without restore."
Misleading advertising ... a complaint to the UK (and then EU) advertising Standards people, I think.

    So what's the response Paragono_O?

"Boot Manager" it's own (non OS ) Paragon Boot Manager, installed instead of the standard boot-loader of Windows. It, as far as I know, not available yet, probably have not UEFI compability yet.
Bullet 3 on the product page says about Boot-corrector. It's quite another tool, available on recovery media. With it you can restore normal work of standard boot Windows, many from XP to 8.1, and in several ways. Personally for me this tool helped many times.
After you are done complaints to the UN and UNESCO, contact Paragon tech support, they quickly return to you your money. As I saw here, Paragon does not deter users who don't wish to understand the basic principles of work the program.

It seems to me that Paragon is concentrating on virtualization. In UEFI, it may be easier to use virtualization than multiboot.

With all due respect guys this is beyond a moan or trolling, it is false advertising, which I feel too many developers are getting away with. BM inclusion should be removed from all advertising because it hasnt been available since v12. Thats over a year now and meanwhile people are still paying money for a product that isnt there.

fireworker - david may be looking at the wrong tool but he would have quickly found that out after trying the boot manager...if it did indeed exist as advertised
RobinA - virtualization may work for database and even graphics based apps but for realtime high demand pro audio and video it does not. Direct low level driver access is needed hence the need for UEFI compatability. I mean come on its been on most motherboards for years.

I agree. It seems to be a Paragon practice, not restricted to the Boot Manager case.

HDM 12 updated 25 Apr to build 471.001. BM present, updated. Started, and it seemed to install. But on GPT it is not seen after a reboot. Now I will try to MBR.

    ---------------------------------
Turns out, BM itself settled at MBR disk. Windows on GPT disks not sees.

Could you clarify this? Does it work in GPT disks?

HDM 12 had not been updated in a long time. Suddenly, a new version appears in the account. No information about it from Paragon, No release notes, nothing. Not the best way to manage this.

If BM start with GPT drives only, it says "BootManager Wizard failed to find appropriate hard disk install to".

...and I thought I'd have to re-install the HDM Pro 15 because of a failed set up (grayed out Boot Manager.) ...And now I feel like an idiot, thinking I'd get around EasyBCD's MBR limitations (no Uefi support) and Brink's recommendation (SevenForums) to use MBR HD setups in a multi-boot environment with Win7-64 and WinXP-32. I had hoped to get around this by using what I thought was a new and improved Boot Manager in HDM Pro15.
Well, at least I can make all the backups I would ever want ;-P

Well it's not in Paragon Partition Manager Pro 15 EITHER!
Of course it says it is, checked and doubled checked to make sure it was there!
Should have called the PRE-SALES they pick-up the phone!

14 I just lived with it! But this time I also want a REFUND!
Thank god I bought this with paypal, if it doesn't work I'm filing a complaint with the screen shots!

I guess back to BCD :( I don't use UEFI boot on my x99 it makes the raided drives CRAWL. I realize it takes advantage of all the new stuff on the drives! LOL NOT :)
UEFI is letting your OS run your system and not you. Slower memory speeds (why I see DDR4 running SO SLOW) If your DDR4 is running under 57,000MB/s copy speed dump the UEFI. Slower SSD raid speed (NO NEW TECH IN RAID) If you have two or more SSD's in raid 0 and your under 1,200 MB/s (AVG) again DUMP the UEFI. :)

    Just in case it saves anyone time/money, over the years I've tried out a few different Boot Managers;
Boot-us, Masterbooter, OSL2000, Visual BCD, Grub, Chameleon, Clover, Windows internal, UniBeast, Gag (and a few other obscure ones I found in Hiren and others), EasyBCD, Easus. Wasting over $150 because some wont give you the juicey features without forking out!

None of them are GPT, UEFI, Win8/10 fully aware or say they are and wont work with a hidden EFI or windows System Reserved partition of the newer OSs such as OSX and windows 8 or 10. Am I the only one who wants one OS for general internet/office etc and one OS for serious audio/video work!

I had some success with Boot-us...finally something that could handle most of the the quirks and has true dynamic selective partition hiding (even on the extended partitions).
The guy that runs it wouldnt give much support .:) we're on our own guys! It didnt really do a good job of GPT though so I had to scrap the idea of including a Hackintosh boot and go back to good old MBR and inlcude an XP instead. Still not ideal. Also it was last updated in 2012...man oh man!
    http://www.boot-us.com/functions.htm
It's what I'm using at the moment but soon I will want to replace my WinXP with Linux and will need GPT etc. This guy doesnt look like he's interested in going any further with it, like the rest of them. Hope he proves me wrong.

I've given up on mac hardware/software or hackintosh though, Apple (and Google for that matter) are becoming greedy and "dictators" of workflow, removing features, dumbing things down etc.

To be honest I havent properly tried Boot-us with Windows 10 pro yet, on first try with my triple blind Win8pro/Win8pro/XP I was met with system 10 updater saying "cant modify System Reserved partition" or something similar. Its gonna take some trial and error it seems. My SR partitions are 350mb, maybe I will start by bumping them up to 500mb.

If only windows didnt do such a horrendous job of dual booting. As you probably know, if its aware that another windows os is available to list in its own boot manager it COMPLETELY messes up everything. Better to make it blind to other OS's with true dynamic partition hiding by a boot manager.

But really what liars are Paragon for advertising that a boot manager is present in their v14 bundles when it isn't. And then they have the nerve to re-list it again and advertise it in the v15 bundles but not include there either! Thats just wrong...crooks!
