I've written a review of the BQ Aquaris M10 Ubuntu Edition tablet with the recent OTA-12 upgrade, including look & feel, stability and performance, improvements and changes in the applications like navigation, multimedia, file management and others, Store functionality and relevance, outstanding problems, and more. What has changed in the last few months? Come and see.

Linux is finicky is being up and running. Sometimes updates will take the desktop down and you have to be persistent to log back in.

Never see it in Windows. Its still not ready for the masses.

I've never had any problems with updates in 14.04, although I suppose there's always a first time.

That really depends on the distro. Ubuntu have had a reputation for breaking things in the past (with updates), but I think they're doing way better nowadays.

You mean you never saw an update break things in Windows? Clearly you're not familiar with the "bork tuesday" ;)

And now with the Windows 10 updates, they're REALLY braking things, much more than before.
