I tested UBO and Adblock latitude in Palemoon. For me, both work fine. No slow down with either one. Adblock latitude is a fork of Adblock plus for Palemoon.

out of the box it blocks almost everything.

"Enable MVPS hosts (Ad blocking filter), or add more filters into uBlock Origin."

I see no ads, only some pictures pointing to Reviews/Videos/News from their own website:

If you think these are ads, report to EasyList, that is what uBO uses to block ads.

That is quite a bad faith comment. I had no problem removing that widget. If you were of good faith, you would have posted the filter you used, and which you say does not work. I used the element picker and selected `###promos` entry, then clicked "Create", resulting in the filter `www.neowin.net###promos` being created. Worked first try, and the widget does not come back after refreshing.

    No Ads.PNG

Same page using UBO then right-clicking on those images and clicked create and refreshed page.
Images didn't come back as gorhill has stated.

Here is a screenshot of Neowin website with Ad blockers disabled. You should be able to tell the difference witch are ads. For instance that ad at the top of the website. Neowin website with Ad blockers disabled.jpg

gorhill hello..nothing about bad faith..I have posted before about this and no one seemed to give a definitive correct answer(before this thread)
so i reached out again and now that you posted what NOW has worked... I did not know about or ever have tried clicking on that ##promos line and then create
so my good man it is gone now gone and I am happy as a 'clam'...
In closing I meant and never have meant any disrespect to you or your fine product...I love it and now have learned something new!!
so thank you for the help as always

Ok sorry about my impatience. I did remember you posting about such issue, but you never answered me when I asked for more details, so I thought I was again facing the prospect of being unable to deal with a vague "does not block ads" assertion (whether to investigate a potential bug, or to provide an explanation).

As a developer, one of the most frustrating aspect is the inability to deal with vague statements, because I can't investigate and provide an answer to such statements. Vague statements are frustrating because of the possibility that there is indeed an unknown issue which I won't be able to fix (because I can't investigate vague statements), or the other possibility is that there is no issue but I am left with being unable to refute the erroneous assertion (because I can't prove wrong vague statements). Here is a typical example I keep in my tweeter feed for reference of how such vague statements are unproductive -- in the end whatever issue there was, was left unsolved). From my point of view, I want uBO to work as seamlessly and flawlessly as possible, and being unable to address a claimed issue is frustrating.

I find uBlock Origin works fine in PM 27.0.2. It also doesn't slow down browser start-up unlike ABL can.
