To this day, I still think Windows 7 is one of the best OS's out there (before W10 came out and Microsoft intentionally screwed the updates on 7).
Win 7 64. The best since XP. It will be a sad day buying a new computer, having to upgrade? to win 10. Sad. Only reason for keeping this crap is gaming.
Not necessary. If you are going to buy a new PC, just buy a copy of Windows 7, format HDD or SSD and install Windows 7 on it.
Yes !! On two pc. I tried twice 10 on my new pc: Quad Core, 64 BIT, RAM 8 GB... -: it's heavy, Edge doesn't work, Nvidia drivers work bad, and it's invasive for the privacy.
If it's heavy, then there's some issues causing it. I'm running Windows 10 Anniversary Update on eight PCs, and it runs really well on all of them. One of them is a nine year old PC with a slow processor. Even Edge is really fast on that slow computer. However, I find that I need to replace Windows Defender with something lighter on most PCs.
So, I don't know what say. I disable many useless services, but 10 remained slow. Edge doesn't work, and I can't understand. May be that the problem is the HIPS, but I don't want use any Windows version without an HIPS !
Yes for now, will be the last for me on windows....and next will be Linux full time. (currently using Tahrpup linux on a USB stick also)
Heck yeah, fought tooth and nail to keep Win 7 on Desktop and Laptop. I never free upgraded or will ever upgrade to Win 10, don't care if it's faster then the speeding bullet. Didn't like Microsoft's Sneaky Business Tactics for the upgrade. Taking advantage of the novice people, tricking them in an upgrade. After Win 7 is gone Microsoft has lost me and I'm sure many others as a customer.
Windows 7 is the best Microsoft OS for those upgrading from Vista and XP while trying to avoid Windows 8.1 and 10. End of support is on Jan 14, 2020 so it's still good to go for those who care about support.
