Why can't they join here and ask questions if they fit the forum.

Well, this place is like home to me (you & I've been her for longg time), I'm frustrated & nobody seems able to help, regarding Twitter. So someone here must use twitter & I hoped to gain some enlightenment. Who are 'they'? If this is out of line, my apologies & feel free to close the thread. Does anyone know if they have a book 'Twitter for Dummies':argh::D

    Thanks
    Rico

Interesting question, but I for one won't use Facebook or twitter. So if a question is to be asked they are going to have to come here.

    Thanks!
When I tweet someone say Bill Maher, my tweet does not show up on his page, but shows up on my page, Has he seen it? I follow him, as yet I don't know if he follows me.

People I don't know & don't follow, tweets come on my page.

Choosing > messages (thought like PM), people like my niece (follow each other), I get to the page, where, I see here name, & the blank page, but no letters can be typed.

Me three. My kids have been bugging me for years to sign up on facebook and, or twitter. My answer is that I'm too damn old for that nonsense.

You are kinda all over the place. Twitter has 2 features, if you go to someones account and just see their name and white space and cant type, that sounds like you have been blocked but it will clearly say you have been blocked from viewing that persons tweet or account. There is another feature where a person can be muted. To you viewing their account is normal unlike block where you cant see anything on their account, but to them they have turned off the ability to see your tweets. Its a form of block without actually blocking and you cant really tell if someone has muted you.

Twitter is about ads, you will see ads that look like tweets and you will see suggested tweets and users from people you dont follow on your timeline. Also people will retweet other peoples tweets.

Not sure if anything helped or made sense but I tried. :)
