Unfortunately Classic Shell on FossHub was infected in the last day or so and killed the MBR. Seems to be fixed now. Thread and info here http://www.classicshell.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=6434
Wow, this is shocking. Seems like it's becoming a trend to hack sites of popular software, and seems like they even have the skills to infect software.
@Rasheed187 See here for more info, they also infected Audacity as well. http://news.softpedia.com/news/hack...distribute-mbr-hijacking-malware-506932.shtml
I prefer Start10 as well, but it's a paid product (granted it doesn't cost much) and Classic Shell is free.
Thanks, I read about it. But if I understood correctly, they didn't infect the software, they just replace them with a MBR virus. To me it would have been more scary if they managed to make the legitimate installers run malware. But I guess that isn't as easy. To be honest, I always most never use the Start Menu, so I don't need any extra features.
