It seems that Eset NOD32 version 9.0.386.0 has been released.

    Some remarks:

    1.
Expanding http://www.eset.com/us/support/download/home/nod32-antivirus/ to get the Changelog:
(for the English 64-bit version offline installer)

What those hotfix and minor fixes are, is not mentioned!

    2.
Although the above quote is saying it is version 9.0.386.0, after having downloaded the English 64-bit version offline installer the properties tab of eav_nt64_enu.exe is saying it is version 9.0.385.0.

See screenshot (on Win-7, 64-bit, Dutch):

    NOD32_2016-07-20_01.jpg

    Checksums:
The file eav_nt64_enu.exe has the following Checksum(s)
    MD5 - 5CC5DEDF3AD972123ED1753D7E0BEDCC
    SHA-160 - 6F0CF8F6ACF6F6DC0ECC1DC1C088D205E806BF3A
    SHA-256 - 79837A5857CE03A6A4EC86C47BBE0C9E1AFA6608F7204ACEBD30EDD36BEA75FD

    I haven't yet upgraded from 9.0.381.0 to 9.0.386.0.

    3.
There is a thread at the Eset forum where people are reporting yesterday and today issues with updating virus definitions on 9.0.386.0:

I'm not having any issues with 9.0.386.0. Everything updates fine here.

It's not a problem with updates as such but with displaying information about the last successful update. Updates are downloaded alright so users are fully protected.

Changed my ISP and the new one gave me free ESET AV license valid until 26-Jul-2026. Is that normal? :D

Just updated the registration for a new year and it asked to reboot. 15 minutes later... still waiting for it to reboot.

A reboot is only needed after upgrade from an older version. Definitely it's not needed after renewing your license. I'd suggest rebooting the computer yourself if a reboot is needed for whatever reason.

Marcos I would like you to comment on the disgusting behaviour I seen on both my machines, and I hope eset back down from this new policy. I still have the window on my laptop to make a screenshot if needed.

Basically I am running v8, and then nod32 pops up a large window asking me to upgrade to the latest version, the window was large, and no option exists to say "upgrade never do not bother me again", I can only select not now.

This is similar to the behaviour from microsoft to try and get people on windows 10 and I dont like it. Please stop these push notifications.

Why u does not upgrade? u should use always the latest versions from avs. there is no reason to use an old version with maybe lower protection, or?

Make sure the box " Regularly check for latest product version" is NOT checked.
After playing around in this section, the feature does appear to be buggy. Once you click
on "check for new version", it seems you are forced to install the new version.
Update: Restarting computer fixes the problem.

this is most likely do to my security setup but I could bot shut down my computer after installing a few weeks ago. power led would just stay white but had to do a hard shut down. think I saw other members with same issue. might have something to do with WAR, not sure.
