Beta testing of 2017 version has started. You can check the beta section for the latest versions https://forum.kaspersky.com/index.php?showforum=16 First released version is 17.0.0.225. As always, first betas are unstable and with non-working features. The notable changes are a VPN (called Secure connection) for unsecure Wi-Fi networks, Software updater and a manual removal of installed adware (called Software cleaner).
Uninstalled because endless start <-> crash <-> start ..... Performance was very good (until I updated/rebooted and problems happened). The new features are nice. Interface itself not changed but maybe it's coming but I'm not really GUI fetish.
Agreed but only for Wifi. Btw I'm a bit worried about the software updater, because it could be compromised to download infected stuff I hope this channel is protected against mitm attacks.
Beta testing is near Release candidate/RTM phase. You can grab the latest beta build from here, build number 17.0.0.577 https://forum.kaspersky.com/index.php?showtopic=352643
I just installed build 17.0.0.577 for testing. Seems to run better than the release versions of 2016. Liking it so far. No obvious issues.
Beta license code to use?; activate trial version is no longer present in GUI and beta codes listed on Forum are now blacked out; https://forum.kaspersky.com/index.php?showtopic=161942
If previous years are an indication... They usually finish a Technical Release (TR) sometime in June or July. If you're lucky you can find the one that takes retail keys (this has not yet happened). The official release usually seems to be about September, though they roll it out at different times for different regions.
Both FTP and Cloud links point to the same installers. Standard naming scheme for installers applies as always. Or am I misunderstanding something?
