Some remarks here, including from CP. https://malwaretips.com/threads/covert-pro.54886 https://malwaretips.com/members/covertpro.48057

Whois list the owner as Besik Kurashvili. Searches show a number of hits with Server Specialist as his profession. If it's him ? For eg https://www.quora.com/profile/Besik-Kurashvili - https://se.linkedin.com/in/besik-kurashvili-12989113

    Whois https://covert.ru/download-english created: 2004.12.14 = Same software

I installed the Demo, & yes it's not the prettiest, but that's not the most important thing ! From the little time i had with it, i think that, unless you already have several other Apps that cover All this does, then i would say try it.

The demo gave me a 30 second time limit to view listed running items etc. Not just 5 secs ! A better way with soft such as this, would be say a 30 day trial.

If people want to know more about him/it, they can use the contact form or email on the www

It comes with a VERY good HelpFile, that explains everything easily in detail with lots of images. I was extremely impressed with the amount of thought & effort that must have gone into producing it. Not a micky mouse outfit !

The HF shows a much nicer GUI

Maybe it's only the demo version/unregistered version that looks less nice ?

im the original poster on this link : https://malwaretips.com/threads/covert-pro.54886

the PC version of Covert does it job well enough, for security geeks like us , it may not be revolutionary and can be replaced by other more famous apps but the USB one is the most valuable of the 2 versions. when you travel and need to log-in your accounts or do some works in a public computers (hotel, etc...) , it becomes very handy.

That was a nice thread! Great that you've got the developer aboard. Seems like an useful tool.

Thanks, i try to highlight less known products that, i believe, deserve some attention; Covert is one of them.

Clone, in your screen shot, where your tabs show winword, skype ect, my install only showed numbers. I did install the demo in quietzone and sometimes that messes with installs, even if no reboot was required.

looks like the shareware version is $13.27?

I think I have enough security for now, think I will pass on this one. seems to be getting a lot more software out there that is not for your normal home users.

I've discovered what appears to be a BIG booboo they have made with applying the licence ! I won't reveal it, but i'll contact CP about it.

Hi, Thanx, it must have been a browser issue, as i was able to reach the correct page with another !

    @ boredog

LOL, that screenie was from the HelpFile ! Even after getting the licence & installing again, i don't see it like that ? I won't keep it as i'm well covered with other Apps, as you are. If i wasn't, i think i might.

I'm surprised you're on W10, with ALL that tracking etc etc !

I received an email back from CovertPro.

That explains why i didn't need to input a licence code. Why the offer showed a licence key code if it didn't require one ? But the shareware offer said no updates & no support, NOT limited validity period

    @ boredog

Surprised you didn't get a response ! Anyway, it appears you need to do a lot more than that to stop ALL the tracking. I'm sure you now know what's available to do that.

I see what he meant now about Validity in the shareare giveaway offer. He meant, time limit to install. It sounded as if he meant the Actual software was only valid for a certain time !

I bought the version with free lifetime updates...Will have to try it out in my new laptop when it arrives. It was a discounted offer, so I saved on the cost, i.e. the software.
