Suggestions for a paid email provider please (no bluebottle is shutting down)

Hello,

With bluebottle shutting down at the end of June i am in need of another email provider.
I liked the web interface of bluebottle and wanted something that was separate from my ISP to make it easy to switch my internet provider.

I download using the last version of windows eudora (for the filtering) so if any was using that and know it work it would be beneficial.
It would be nice if it was outside of gchq and nsa reach but its not a major factor in my choice with the now small pool of providers i can choose from.

Yes i could buy my own domain etc but i just dont have time to investigate the idea and then go and sort it out. My work hours are rather long and so time is at a premium.

thanks compleo, digitalenvelopes looks like a decent choice to start with although i do see their web site is hosted in the usa (according to flagfox).
Mail fence is in belgium however.

 

Scrypt,Tutanota and protonmail are web browser and phone app only.
They are not for me as i like my emails downloaded in eudora

 

Tutanota has a (paid) Outlook plugin.

 

One of your interests seems to be server location,where is Eudora's server located?

 

Eudora is the windows email program i use.
It apparently has the most advanced filtering for a local email client.

Rather not bother with Outlook now that google calendar doesnt work with it.

 

Eudora is not the email provider it is a windows email client like thunderbird.

 

I haven't read the word Eudora in over 10 years,i'ts extremely rare i see anyone use a mail client.I wasn't sure if it is an client or provider until i just researched before you posted.

I don't understand why the 2 step process,an e mail client with a plug in when one can just use an e mail provider.Is there an advantage with a client with a plug in as opposed to using an e mail provider (AKA web mail).

This chart shows different plug ins,but doesn't mention Eudora--->LINK

 

with webmail you are not in charge of your data.
Stored on my PC nd deleted on a server noone has access and i can do my own backups

 

I went with mailfence since digital envelope seems to be not accepting sign ups at the moment.

Depending what you expect from your email provider. The goal for me was to remove myself from email reading and tracking done by google and yahoo. And so I have moved on from gmail to runbox and now to fastmail. Neither of those provide end to end encryption but both have been around for awhile and have large user base and probably won't close their service on you. I now prefer fastmail because of their better mobile UI than rubox. Best of luck.
