In terms of browsers would you say it is safer to stick with the original browser or with forked and cloned browsers.

I have recently switched my browser to google chrome as in the long run it will receive any security updates far quicker than any fork.

    Your thoughts please.

IMO delay in updates is main security problem. Another problem is when part of code is removed or altered and by that security is compromised. That's why I prefer "original".

Original. Better compatibility and fewer issues.

https://www.wilderssecurity.com/threads/firefox-browser-alternatives.384465/page-2 This is what you posted at me because I switched from Palemoon to Firefox. Now I see this:
By the way I kind of did the same thing, gave Chrome a whirl but came back to Firefox. As a side note I still have Palemoon 64bit as secondary browser as it does run lighter than either Firefox or Chrome. If it would run the HTML5 videos with proper sound in ESPN I probably would go back to Palemoon as my main browser.:D

Forks work better. Mozilla still has no fix for its crappy https: protocol connection issue and I've no problems connecting to secure sites with Mozilla-derived browsers.
