Sometimes I wonder if you're not better off running nothing...

Good Afternoon...Part 2! As a heads up...an FYI...change your Banking Passwords...and Credit Card Passwords...also keep a careful eye on your statements...and it certainly wouldn't hurt to Check in with the Credit Bureau. And contact Trend to check on their Due Diligence...in regards to this unfortunate incident. Sincerely...Securon

Fortunately we don't use the password manager, it's the first thing I remove after installation. But this still sucks.

Mr. Ormandy put together an exploit that consisted of loading thousands of images that would query the localhost server on a different port number until they would uncover the one open for that client.

You should always check your default vendor provided firewall rules. Localhost connections should always be defined as internal to your PC. Also if this was a case of external port scanning, most firewalls should detect that.

Wow ... I am coming off several bad experiences with other AVs. Haven't tried Trend Micro in ages so I thought maybe they're worth a shot. Came here to see what the general sentiment was ... and this was my first search result.

    So sick of it all...

Well you can still try it and see if it works for you. All AVs probably have some holes or vulnerabilities. It's just a question if they are found and how quickly they are patched.

Yeah, probably, but after seeing some pretty bad reviews I think I'll steer clear.
