looking for a email client for windows desktop

hi

i'm looking for an email client for windows desktop , w7 and w10

for years i used thunderbird

i 'm thinking mailbird 2 or em client

i guess outlook is no more free , and it's part of office , and i will stay away from it

in short , a powerfull program with a clean gui

any advises are welcome!

@mantra Yes, the free version of eM Client only supports two email accounts. I'm currently using it and Thunderbird. I prefer eM Client, but installed Thunderbird as well a few days ago because my antispam software (Cloudmark DesktopOne) supports Thunderbird.

I never liked Thunderbird when I first tried it many years ago, and have not used it again till now. It has improved a lot over the years and I the current version.

 

I use Thunderbird Portable. I just copy the folder to a laptop when I travel. It is running about 20 accounts, collected over the years for avoiding spam in my main account.

As far as I can tell, Pop Peeper is not an email client, just a checker.

 

Another option would be to tidy up Thunderbird with addons from SoftMaker's version of Thunderbird. http://www.softmaker.com/en/download/add-ons

@WildByDesign Unfortunately it's only available as part of SoftMaker Office 2016 which costs $90.

 

iv been using mailbird for a while now and really like it.

 

Ive done a few trials and errors and always come back to TheBat and eMClient. TheBat is much more configurable while eM is much more user friendly and intuitive.

A correction for roger_m's post.
The Softmaker add-ons for Thunderbird are provided completely free of charge and from the same page where you get the add-ons, Softmaker provide a link to the free download of the Thunderbird installer. So you don't have to buy Softmaker Office to get this version of Thunderbird which I might add I am using successfully on Windows 10. For me it's an excellent email client which handles multiple accounts and everything else I need from an email client in 2016 while the Softmaker add-ons sort out the standard Thunderbird UI and make it a much more pleasant environment in which to work.

@Jonathan B Thanks for the clarification. I wonder why they are offering it as a free download, when on the product page it says it is only avilable as part of the SoftMaker Office 2016.

Edit: After installing it, I realised it that it is just the original installer for a slightly outdated version of Thunderbird, and not a customised version. However, you can customise it with the free addons from SoftMaker and then it will be the same as the version included with SoftMaker Office 2016.

On the product page, they make it seem that you need to buy SoftMaker 2016 to get the cusomised Thunderbird, which is very misleading.

Hi Mantra,
You ask why to install the Softmaker extensions.
For me personally, I don't like the user interface that Thunderbird installs with these days and as you'll see from the links already posted by roger_m above, the Softmaker enhanced UI and theme add-ons provide an alternative. I was also switching from eM Client to Thunderbird so the eM Client importer add-on also from Softmaker made the switch much easier.

I've used this for years, but switched to TB several years ago.

often , i can't mark an email as junk , i mark an email as junk and very quickly the junk icon disapears
