Fedora won't be getting "easier access to codecs" that don't meet Fedora's and Red Hat's openness requirements. What happens at RPMFusion is up to RPMFusion. Believe Nvdia released drivers for Xorg 1.18 and they're up at RPMFusion. Granted, they may only work until the next kernel update. Still, hard to blame Fedora, or any other distribution, for Nvidia's deficiencies. I like Gnome because I like the way it looks. May seem shallow but I stare at it all day, so why not stare at something I like? It's as functional as I need. I use it exactly the same way I'd use any other setup: Dock on the left, panel at the top, mouse wheel to scroll between workspaces, one app per workspace. Mimize/maximize capability has always been there; the little buttons, too, via gsettings (or Tweak Tool). I don't live in a file manager. That's what a shell is for. I can't think when I've ever created an empty file in a file manager. These days Mate and XFCE look archaic and KDE looks like something dreamed up by someone who took Art 101 at the local community college.

Furthermore, if Stella, CentOS simply won't install on my Lenovo G50-70 i3 laptop, Fedora23 installs and runs pretty fine on it (screenshots to come, I don't have the laptop alongside here at the moment).
What I like about it is its simplicity, velocity, and ability to get customized in a few clicks through the use of gnome extensions, much the way Firefox can get customized through FF addons.
Sweet review Mrk, thanks. I'm even tempted to try Gnome instead of my usual suspect XFCE. This distro not running on your Lenovo is a weird hate-crime though.
Could be uefi firmware, could be some weird hardware component. Can't debug as it freezes. C'est la vie. Mrk
