    How recent is this Ron? I've just checked and there are no updates for my laptop (14.0.4 LTS).

    syslinux all the way :thumb:

    The real question is: Why would anyone protect their data by GRUB or by any boot loader? An attacker would just have to use a LiveCD and get into the partitions anyway.

    I see this as a minor issue. You would have to know about it. Any way it is already patched in Slackware.
