    I have HD Manager 14.

How does "Backup Hard Disk" compare to "Backup to VD?"

Obviously, "Backup to VD" creates a virtual image. Therefore, how does "Backup to VD" compare to "P2V Copy?"

    Thanks.

Backup to VD creates an image, which is a file [actually at least 3 files in the case of Paragon] and can be compressed [if you use the PVHD format].

P2V Copy performs a copy operation, which creates a virtual disk or partition. Its purpose is to migrate the physical installation to a virtual environment.

    Robin,

Thanks for the reply. My question is, if I am making a backup, why might I choose Backup Hard Disk vs Backup to VD? What are the pros and cons?

Similarly, if Backup to VD makes a virtual image, how does that differ from P2V Copy? Presumably, I can mount the virtual images, from either option. In other words, if my goal is to virtual a computer, so that I can mount it, virtually, are there benefits to one option over the other one?

    Thanks,

    David
