    Hello,

I'm new to network/port scanning and could use a little help figuring out which processes and/or ports, if any, are bad and should be changed.

My Nirsoft Currports scan resulted in 54 total ports with 3 remote.(This concerned me because I have rdp disabled)
    • They range in states blank, listening, time wait, or established.
    • There are 11 unknown TCP processes on local ports 64458+ that also have remote port 80, 443, 5000
    • There are many local port names
I'd post the results but I'm not sure if that would put me at risk so I'm not going to at this point.

    Any guidance will be appreciated!

Brosephine, perhaps this TCP/UDP Port List could be of help. There's also a Single Port Lookup link in that page as well.

Thanks JR! I was looking for a list like that but couldn't find one that was current.

Brosephine, you're welcome! That September 2015 list is as current as one can find. Good luck!

Can I private message you with any questions on this? This is a great resource but my lack of knowledge doesn't allow me to utilize it properly. There are just a few holes i need filled in first.

Unfortunately, Wilders stopped One-on-One Malware Cleaning Services awhile back. You are going to need dedicated assistance to figure out what is happening. Your best bet is to review If You Are Currently Infected, then seek help in any of the sites listed there. That's the best advice we can give you.
