    Well, that was an interesting experience.

    1. I installed program
    2. Put password and forgot to write it down thinking it would be easy to remember (my biggest Error)
    3. Left checked start with windows and lock (bad idea) and disable task manager (another bad idea)

    You can guess what happened later. Yes, cause of my own stupidity I was locked out of my computer since this afternoon. Thank to God, I was able to figure out a way to access my computer. It was actually pretty simple. Should have though of doing it earlier. :oops:

    Regardless. This is a nice and powerful program. :thumb:

    Also would it be possible to integrate it with the camera? So that instead of a password, the user can use his/her own face to bypass the lock. I'm fine if it's not possible or not recommended, it's simply a small question on my part.

    Thanks for testing :D

    Probably, I'll see what can be done.

    The next version may have an option to disable CTRL+ALT+DEL menu options (switch user, change password, lock workstation, log off, etc), example:

    Haven't tried this yet but thinking about it. How long will it be free? Do you get a lifetime license with the free download? Thanks.

    I just found out that the lock screen works weirdly on Win 8 (with no password), shame on M$.

    So thanks for making this app. :thumb:

    @Circuit

    Not yet, we may make a custom version that can be downloaded after a donation has been made.

    We can think about this.

    Well, at least I was able to brighten someone's day :argh:
    At the end though, one has to learn from their mistakes and I certainly did.

    Since someone reminded me of my post here. I wanted to confirm something.
    @novirusthanks
    Is it still possible to bypass the lock-down by entering Safe Mode with Command Prompt and then entering "Explorer.exe" on it?
    I recall that that doing so allowed me to access my computer, which obviously makes it easy to click on the Smart PC Locker and disable it startup.

    Hello, thanks for yet another piece of software :)

    Just curious - does it integrate with fingerprint readers?

    Just tested now on Windows 10, I booted in Safe Mode with Command Prompt, then entered "explorer.exe", and Smart PC Locker Pro locked the system.

    //EDIT
    I will update Smart PC Locker Pro so that it can lock the PC before showing the command-prompt.

    @RJK3

    No, but if we receive a lot of requests we may think about adding support for it.

    I recently started using this program and it gives you the option to enter your network adapter and says
    it blocks all network traffic.

    Is there any easy way to check this besides going into my system logs? No antivirus installed at the moment.

    Thanks! Or if you recommend something better to lock down my PC when I am away. Not so much people trying to get on my PC but that I like the network locked down when not in use and I am out of the house.

    Thanks,

    David

    Haven't used this software in a long time. So, I want to know from those that currently use it. Does it work well with the latest Windows 10 fall creator? Does it need to disable secure boot now?

    I like the looks of this program, so here's a dumb question, does it take the place of windows password screen? Is there any way to get in incase you lose/forget your pw?

    If the screen is locked, only a small window with a password prompt is displayed on the screen. Everything else is "gone" (no desktop-icons, taskbar, etc.)

    If all CTRL+ALT+DEL options has been enabled it wouldn't be easy to get in. No Access to the Task manager, you can't login as another user, etc.
    And it would mitigate the purpose of this application if it can be bypassed easily while the password prompt is displayed :cautious:

    There’s an issue that prevents entering the password on the locked screen.

    Lock the screen > Wait for the monitor to power off > Leave it like that for a few hours(haven't determined how much time but I speculate 2-3 hours)

    Now when you move the mouse/touchpad the monitor powers on but you can’t type the password on the locked screen.

    This on a HP laptop
