On Windowsdeals they have as far as i know misleading info saying that this Easus version has snapshot function, Easus abandoned that when they went to compatibility with W8. That was many versions ago. So, do you know if it is right or wrong info about the snapshot capacity ?
While looking at the GUI of the latest version, I do not see any snapshot feature anywhere... Besides, if you have SSD drive, I think you should not use it, I guess it was working like RX.. not sure? I think they abandoned that feature after version 6.5, it still exists there, I have an old giveaway of that one..
Are you looking at a screenshot of the gui or of the installed program ? On the old version where they had the snapshot capacity you had to enable the inbuilt recovery environment/PE environment and then it was activated. I think they have old info that they are displaying on Windowsdeals about that snapshot capacity.
For me it worked perfectly, it was/is the best i have ever tried - second to Comodo time machine - and i have tried all snapshot programs that exists.
I think you shouldn't rely on Comodo Time Machine.. It is based on old source code of Rollback RX,and is full of bugs... It literally destroyed one laptop's OS of mine.... If you do a search about it on this forum, you will find more information about it.. If you really want/need a snapshot type of a program, check out Eassos System Restore. It can not backup to external usb hard drives, only on another partition on your main drive, BUT... The author said you can RESTORE an image from external drive. (You need to manually copy the snapshots to the external drive..)
The main point for me is still what i asked you about in post #5 in this thread. Does Eassos have an actual snapshot function ?
Look at the homepage. "Both full backup and incremental backup are supported and multiple restore time points are available." No it does not. You should be looking at Macrium V6,it's Rapid Delta Restore is awesome. Anyways, you can get Eassos for just $8 via softpedia for the time being..
