Sorry for starting a new thread, but I assume it will be viewed by many more posters. So this (Not what I'm on now!) little ASUS W8.1 notebook I just purchased only has an Intel Atom 32gb drive and apparently half or more of it is a back up partition. I do the upgrade and MS informs me I don't have enough space (need 9gb). I removed all of my favorite apps, including Norton, Sandboxie, CCleaner, even Firefox and had already removed ASUS programs that I didn't want but really didn't gain anything much. Using the W8.1 recovery I started over again, removed the ASUSware again ended up with 14gb of free space. However, apparently with W8.1, W8.1 updates and W10 installation files, I still ended with only 7gb, essentially where I was initially and again being informed I need 9gb. So it is (the upgrade version) presently being installed on D:, a 32gb micro card. Is there anyway to overwrite C: with this installation. I have two assumptions. Firstly, that I'd have enough space on C: with W10 installed to install all of my apps again if I could just get it there. Secondly, that the upgrade package won't work like an ISO. If I have to go with an ISO, how do I wipe C: of W8.1? Thank you for your help!
Wow and impressed! Windows figured everything out on its own. Installation finished and it is on C:! To bad I removed all my apps!
