This software can easily be defeated. I have a pro license just sitting on my work machine. Might give it away since I don't use it
I suppose he's talking about banking trojans who alter browser memory. KeyScrambler can't protect against this, it will only protect against regular keyloggers.
@Rasheed187 If this is correct it cant protect against things like SpyFiles 4 ? :-( For normal keyloggers are tools like Malwarebytes Anti-Malware protection enough.
I'm not sure, I couldn't find any technical info on that page. It depends on the method that the keylogger uses, KeyScrambler will protect against message, hook and possibly kernel based key-loggers.
@Rasheed187 http://www.ccc.de/system/uploads/77/original/0zapftis-release.tgz This are the binaries from the first German GOV-Spyfile http://www.ccc.de/de/updates/2011/staatstrojaner not my Upload, it's from Chaos Computer Club. If your AV software is working you can't download it.
@ Timok I'm currently not using any VM, so I can't test it. If you're worried about all types of keyloggers, you might be interested in Zemana and SpyShelter who offer more protection than KeyScrambler.
@Rasheed187 thx, the only problem is, that Zemana (looks good) is very expensive and I have a money problem (must live with ~400 € for 1 month) but maybe I find a giveaway soon
While I normally run KeyScrambler, especially when logging into Wilders, I exit it and run the free Trusteer Rapport when doing banking, and other critical financials and personals. Rapport has a scrambler. Review and screenies: http://www.softpedia.com/get/Security/Security-Related/Rapport.shtml Waiting on Rapport can easily be defeated post: Three, two one...
Provided you have a HIPS, the right SRP, etc... in place accounting for the things this product can't do, it's great at what it was designed to do. I stopped using it due to some compatibility issues of some type awhile back, but don't recall the specifics. I'd even purchased one of the paid versions, I remember there being several.
