    I'm getting fed up with all of these dumb Chrome clones. Opera is a huge disaster, and I'm hoping that Vivaldi will some day be a good alternative to Firefox. But it doesn't look too good.

    All those secure browsers can be simple achieved by adding good extensions to any browser. An easy to use Noscript, I would love to see that. :isay:

    But isnt vivaldi also a chrome variant [ chrome base + lots of settings ] ?

    Yes that's why I mentioned it. Perhaps in the future I will be able to make the switch to Vivaldi from Opera 12, because more and more sites don't run correctly anymore. My other option may be MS Edge. Firefox feels a bit too heavy for me, and some things annoy the hell out of me.

    In all fairness, of course Avira is trying to make this browser all about security, but it's not my cup of tea. And I'm not exactly a fan of Chrome based browsers.
