I have to say that Cyberfox is very slick and seems to be always up to date. You can choose between an Intel CPU optimized version and an AMD CPU Optimized version as well as 32-bit and 64-bit flavors. A lot of extra customizations, too. You can even switch between the Default Australis UI or Classic UI. Very nice. Has anyone else tried it? I'M SOLD.
I run the x64 version on an AMD desktop PC with no problems. Cyberfox tracks Mozilla's rapid release update schedule and always mirrors the latest Firefox version.
I've been using it since at least March 2014, as that is when I joined Toady's forum. I'll share what I have experienced. First off, Toady reminds me of tzuk, the developer/past owner (he eventually sold) of Sandboxie. They are two of the most, if not the most, committed/supporting developers of applications the www have ever had. Given Cyberfox is freeware, Toady's commitment is especially noteworthy! Sometimes it seems like he is there 24/7. I'm using a x64 W7 SP1 PC with 8 gigs of RAM and a SSD that I built. Strictly from reading information, as I don't have the technical background to understand it all, you should not be able to discern a difference between a x32 or x64 browser, since a browser rarely needs even 2 gigs of RAM. This I can verify, since I often test browser speed with speed-battle.com. The RAM factor is probably especially insignificant for my machine since it has a SSD anyway. Ff, Cf and nightly all test the same, however, I obsessively (hey, I do have a x64 machine) use Cf and it seems much more personal because of Toady's constant and often immediate support. The issues I have had have mostly been with Cyberfox's inability to play some flash. This has also been linked to the combination of Cf and Sanboxie. Most of the recent versions have been pretty solid. Without looking at my support posts, I'd guess the issues would have been around the low 30 versions. Enjoy!
When I start Cyberox, my pinned tabs don't load automatically. I just see the old cached version. I have tried setting: browser.sessionstore.restore_pinned_tabs_on_demand to false, but it doesn't work in Cyberfox. It seems to work in Firefox though. Any ideas?
