I have a dell mini 910 laptop with a very small hdd. (8gb ssd). Windows xp sp3 with all updates. now it have only 1,3 hdd space free . can u tell me an antivirus with very little hdd space requirements. thnks boombstik
I would suggest Webroot, Panda or any other cloud based AV. They don't use large local database so they wouldn't take a lot of disk space.
Webroot is indeed the lightest of all in terms of installation size (among other things), but you have to account for that journaling can take up a considerable amount of harddisk space, depending on how often you start very new programs, that haven't been whitelisted by the cloud yet. Normally this shouldn't an an issue, but with only 1,3 GB of free space it could become one. Though with this anemic amount of available space the OP will soon run into problems, even without any AV. I wouldn't run a Windows installation on such a configuration.
You're right, I didn't think about it. I also assume that this SSD is older and filling it up could cause some problems.
finally i went with k9 web filter 25mb + immunet free =25 mb I also cleaned my dell mini and now i have 2 gb hard drive.
