That is very interesting, but where is the link with Unchecky?

USA still the best. But barely.
BDIS blocks the download of the free reasoncore software.

Avira Browser Security addon and McAfee VirusScan Enterprise block it too.

I have downloaded Unchecky with BD Total Security 2015, NS 2015, and EMIS 9 with no issues. It's a nice little program.

Are you guys downloading it from the Unchecky Site: http://unchecky.com/

I think they meant Reason security. It seems to cause FPs :)

From what I read and understand, free version is only Anti Adware/PUP program whereas paid product is more like comprehensive anti-malware. That would be great PUP blocker if it really works :)

    @roger_m

Here you go! Another AV to add to your "already tried" list :D

So, I guess they released this instead of HP with real-time scanning. Let's see how this turns out....

Reason AKA GIANT Antispyware AKA HerdProtect.

Same company. VERY powerful heuristic engine.

There's a standard protection free on the features page (which says Detects and removes malware, adware and PUPs) but the download button doesn't do anything.
    Code:
    hxxps://www.reasoncoresecurity.com/product.aspx
PS. Nevermind they fixed the button, Trend blocks the link.
PS2. OK, %!? their design. There is a working link in downloads page, the one in features page doesn't work for free version, apparently free version doesn't work real time.

Yeah, ASUS router is also blocking the download from their site. I don't get it why so many false detections from all ends on their stuff...

Thanks, I'm trying it right now, since Windows insisted that I installed WSA when I did a reinstall of Windows 10.

It's a shame the free version has no real time protection, after the 30 day trial of the paid version expires. But, it good to see them finally release their full security product. GIANT AntiSpyware was one of the few antispyware apps I purchased back in the day.

The inital scans have finished, after about two hours. The initial compatability scan found a theat, after which it wanted to run a "quick" scan.

It found 101 threats. These were pretty much all just installs for PUPs, so I can say that the detection of installers for PUPs is excellent. Some of these were classified as high risk threats, which I don't agree with as none of there were actually malicious anyway, just unwanted. There was a single false positive, but there is an option to report any found threat as a false positive, which takes you to a webpage where where you can submit a false positive report for the selected file.

With its excellent detection rates for PUPs and its Bundle Protection which to prevent extras getting installed when you install software, this looks like a very promising app, and is worth trying.

I found it slow, and buggy.

I will wait for further improvements, but it's a good start!

Yeah, scanning speed is quite slow but it will eventually mature I'm sure :)
Seems like it's deep scanning new files but once cloud gets more populated, it should be even faster.

I tried Reason Core Security yesterday... scan's kinda slow, and there was only one "threat" which turns out to be a false positive.

Speaking of which, are the detection names made by the Reason Software folks or are they made up on the spot? Because I am sure calling Farbar (developer of FRST, MiniToolbox and others) a threat is rather inappropriate.
