Amazon logs me me in automatically, yet it is not listed in my Cyberfox/Firefox list of saved passwords. I changed the password but it keeps trying to log me in with the old one. I also have the login site in Cf/Ff Privacy settings set to just allow for the session but nothing works. If I select block (cookies) amazon states I need to allow cookies to log in! When I search the issue, most of the threads are dealing with Kindle issues or none of the suggestions (All seem pretty dated!) I can find help. Thank you!
Did you try -- FF >> tools >> options >> privacy >> show cookies >> click amazon >> remove selected And -- FF >> tools >> options >> advanced >> network >> cached web content - clear now (I don't use cyberfox. Don't know if the paths are the same.)

Did you try the search function in : tools >> options .........show cookies.. type in amazon. You might find referrer or other lingering amazon cookies to delete. I forgot about that.
I had tried that too but it didn't work. I just used the search feature there and it had around eight or nine, so I figure , "Oh there is the problem!" I remove them all and dang if it still loads. I checked the cookie feature in CCleaner and it is not one of the saved ones either. I'm going to use Amazon Support and see what they tell me! Thanks for trying to help. If I find anything out I'll post.
So I google customer service and find a way to chat. Person can't help me but has a rep call me. Connection was so bad I couldn't understand a word so I ended up hanging up. I guess I give up!

I know it seems too obvious, but do you have any password managers installed that might be logging you in?
Thank you for the replies! I believe that this whole thing is a moot point in that a) You must have an account in order purchase from Amazon and b) You have to have cookies enabled. I'm trapped and I'm not to happy about it! I could come up with an obsessive work around by closing my account every time I order something from there, which actually is not that often. I probably would have to supply a different email address each time and even then I might "get caught" with the same mailing address. Oh well.
If the Amazon login screen has the password already typed in then you must have a third party password manager installed in your pc that is logging you on into Amazon every time. If it really is a cookie problem and you are unable to figure out which cookie it is, then follow these steps. First set your homepage in Firefox to Amazon.com, then from Firefox's "clean recent history" option delete all cookies inside Firefox. Now restart your browser and your homepage, now Amazon.com, will open. Login into Amazon and then search the cookies folder, there should be only one or two cookies in that folder at this stage and you will know which cookie stores Amazon login credentials.
xxJackxx and Raza, you were correct! Extension Blur was the culprit. I must have "unknowingly" given it permission to save that information at some point. Thanks again to everyone trying to help! ratchet
