Microsoft's supporting Fast IDentity Online (FIDO) Alliance. (Windows 10) Brad Hill, who was one of the chief architects of FIDO, said he thought SQRL was the best-thought-out system that he had seen. FIDO is all based on hardware, but one of the advantages is that SQRL doesn't require any hardware. You're able to have a software-only client, which is absolutely secure. I really hope to see this take off. It works. Its secure. It is easy. It can be pseudo-anonymous. I will switch to this instantly once it becomes available.
I too have been hoping to see it becomes common, but it won't come soon and I guess most ppl even haven't heard of its name.
