I am afraid to turn off the SELinux controls for the Chrome plugins (see screenshot) as sandboxing may be interfered with. Can I ignore the popup notification ?

OK, I just followed the suggestion to turn off SELinux on Chrome plugins by running the setsebool command. Now no more alerts.
The last error messages (see below), were not repeated after using Chrome subsequent to issueing the setsebool command.

    Code:
Apr 4 08:14:25 localhost setroubleshoot: SELinux is preventing /opt/google/chrome/nacl_helper from getattr access on the file /etc/passwd. For complete SELinux messages. run sealert -l 2f36569c-854b-419a-9495-a3f202427b26
Apr 4 08:14:26 localhost python: SELinux is preventing /opt/google/chrome/nacl_helper from getattr access on the file /etc/passwd.
    [root@localhost ocky]#
