To add some synopsis as to what this tool does:
It probably should not be run without the assistance of a qualified malware removal expert.

Version 6.3.1 was released Monday, October 6, 2014.

    Homepage/download: http://www.thisisudax.org

No changelog has been available since 2013. If submitted to VirusTotal, v6.3.1 will show one false positive (1/55).

If the previous version (6.1.4) is launched, the new version is offered and can be optionally downloaded to the user's desktop before execution continues.

JRT is one of our crucial tools in malware removal.

It's in the rotation, and always manages to find something.

What do you do when it removes reg entries that shouldn't be removed? The tool doesn't give you any roll-back options. You have to trust it 100% on what it removes. Not crucial for me.

Adric, JRT uses ERUNT to create a backup copy of your registry before it actually does anything. You can restore the backup should anything goes wrong :)

When running JRT in XP from a command line there is no indication that the registry is being backed up. Where can I find the backup?

It's in C:\Windows\ERUNT\JRT, but recently the author removed it because ERUNT was having trouble with Windows 8 users.
