The recently reported attacks on TPM keys (and thence Bitlocker) were also side-channel, which is, in a way, reassuring.
Good reminder as side-channel is the next major threat to bruteforce against crypt in real world. Most of cryptgraphical attacks are theoretically interesting but not much practically usable, but side-channel is often real threat.
Agreed. Seeing as all the NSA leaks basically show that is all they use to break crypto currently, I actually feel good that with the proper setup you CAN be secure. The NSA don't have a break through or why would they put the energy into side-channel attacks?
