Hi, I've created System Backup image (~20GB) with Easeus Free (i think it's v8 ) and now I need to restore it but I'm having problems:

    - MyBackups folder is on the same drive as System drive, but other partition
    - Because of that, my Bootable Rescue USB can't read from that drive
    - Tried to transfer (with ubuntu live) image to USB (32GB, NTFS), Easeus still won't read it

I don't have any other external USB that size or HDD, I have onlyONE 32GB USB drive and ONE physical HDD in the computer with C System Partition and D partition with MyBackups folder. Booting into Windows is not an option also.

    Help :p

    Vestiges,

Can you boot into Windows? Which OS are you using?
Why do you want to restore the image?

So the image is in the D: drive and not in the C: drive?
Does the image Validate in EaseUS Todo?

Can't boot into Win, it's completely wrecked installation, that's why I need to restore.

    It's Windows 8.1 64bit, UEFI

Also, can't validate image because I can't run Windows and Easeus in it.

But it seems that Easeus Rescue USB won't find this UEFI HDD in any case... when I boot from regular USB it finds image on the other USB but no HDD. Or if I boot into UEFI Easeus Rescue USB it just goes to load Windows which is not working.

What happened to your Win8.1? What were you doing prior to the failure? I'm trying to decide if this is a hardware or a software issue.

When you used EaseUS Todo, did you create a disk, a system or a partition image?

Can you boot the Easeus Rescue USB in both MBR and UEFI mode or only UEFI mode?

I actually don't know what's the problem but it doesn't seem to be hardware, not my PC, kid used it for god knows what..., it kinda loads wallpaper and taskbar (after like 10mins of pre windows loading), and it hangs like that, never loading windows fully, nothing works, only cursor can move and that'a about it. Tried everything, Safe Mode, uninstalling recent stuff, System Restore has only one point and it's not working, etc.

    As i have written:

    - it's an Easeus created Rescue USB and it boots in MBR but won't find HDD (that is UEFI/GPT), UEFI mode just skips to loading Windows (that doesn't load)
    - image was created as System Image in Easeus Free v8 about a month ago after a clean Win 8 install. Everything worked fine.

USA still the best. But barely.
If your system drive is dead. Then you have made an unrecoverable mistake (other than by corp or gov very expensive retrieval) by storing the image on said drive. Always maintain backups on at least 1 different source. Good luck.

No, drive is not dead, Windows is and it's way easier to run restore than to reinstall all over again. But Easeus recovery won't read HDD and recovery USB won't work in UEFI mode.

I had a look at the boot UFD again. You are correct. It won't boot in UEFI mode.

    Did you do this?
System Transfer (Browse to Recover in Free version)
    Browse Computer (click the triangle)
Can you see the partitions on your HD?
If so click the triangle for your Data partition and find the image

    Or doesn't the above work?

Edit... Some strange things with this app. The Home UFD doesn't boot in UEFI mode but the Free version UFD does. The tests I did earlier on restoring EaseUS Todo images to a new, empty HD were with the Workstation version.

Edit... I just made another Home UFD and it does boot in UEFI mode. There is obviously something wrong with the first UFD as it contains 200 MB less data than the latest one.
