For me all the new phones are getting retarded and battery's getting worse and worse. I want someone to come out with a slightly bigger phone but alot better battery than competition.

What does "slightly bigger" mean? And do you want a phone, or a smart phone with all the goodies.

I just got the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini and it is "slightly bigger" than many phones, but not near tablet size as its regular S4 sibling and some of the other new phones coming out these days. If you want a smart phone, you are going to have to live with the fact you will need to keep a charger handy.

That said, I rarely use my cell for phone calls. I carry it around for emergencies, and to stream music to my headphones with riding my bike, or via Bluetooth to my truck radio when driving. If I don't surf the net via cell service or make a lot of phone calls, the battery will last several days.

I'm really tired of these huge phones...

    When will it end?

Right! That's why I asked, "What does "slightly bigger" mean?" Slightly bigger than what? o_O
That's exactly why I looked for a "mini" smart phone when my old HTC Hero died - I wanted to be able to put my phone in my shirt or back pocket. I don't do purses and I already have a tablet.

Depends, what you want, a phone or a mobile computer? My last new phone has got a battery, which lasted for month, after 2 years only 1-2 weeks.

USA still the best. But barely.
My current phone is an AT&T branded LG G Flex D950 6" screen & a non-removable 3500 mAh battery. Battery usually lasts 2+ days for me YMMV. Currently using it on Cricket. FYI if you're using AT&T or a AT&T MVNO be sure to get the AT&T D950 variant or else you'll have data issues. It's awesome.

I had one of the first popular phablets, the original Galaxy Note. Can't say I prefer it to my current Nexus 5, I kinda like the easier usage with one hand.

I use the Sansung Centura 738 which is a smart phone that fits just right in your shirt pocket. Anything bigger than that is cumbersome to carry. I think the only place you can get one is through Tracphone. All the other Samsungs are bigger.

I want the phone bigger but not in the way there making them there increasing the screen size well making the phone thinner and thinner as it cuts battery size down and down. Any smartphone i used in last few years have all had that issue you can use them about half the day and thats it.

You could buy one with replaceable battery and then carry several extra batteries around too. Maybe not as convenient as just having a thicker phone with a bigger battery, but a reasonable compromise if you really need the extra juice.

Actually battery life for smartphones is increasingly getting better. There are some exceptions where manufactures have made sacrificed battery life for thinness, but on the whole battery life is increasing.

I don't know what you mean by a "slightly bigger phone" as right now you can get phablets with up to 7 inches in screen size.

There are a lot of smartphones that have no problem lasting all day. You just need to choose carefully so you get a phone with good battery life.

As I noted, I rarely make (or receive) phone calls on it so it is basically just in standby most of the time. And earbuds take next to nothing, and Bluetooth not much more. And IF I use it to surf the net, it uses wifi when available.

You keep saying "slightly bigger" but you still have NOT defined what "slightly bigger" means to you. My S4 Mini, at 4.91 x 2.41 x 0.35 inches is "slightly bigger" (though thinner) than my old HTC Hero (4.41 x 2.21 x 0.57 inches), but still smaller (but thicker) than the S4 (5.38 x 2.75 x 0.31 in) or S5 (5.48 x 2.74 x 0.26 in).

So define your terms please. Is the Samsung Galaxy S5 too big? Or are you willing to go bigger yet - to say the Apple iPhone 6 Plus (6.22 x 3.06 x 0.28 in)?

Where do you get your phones?

I have had the HTC Incredible, Samsung Galaxy S4, and now the Samsung Note 4. The HTC would last about a day and a half, same for the Galaxy S4 with about 40% screen on time, and the Note 4 I can go almost 3 days with 40-50% screen on time.

eh I don't have a smart phone and it usually just sits idle but mine tends to last about two weeks between charges. It's a bit thicker than the average smarties but much smaller otherwise. I have no intention of replacing it until it dies on me but its def an 'old style' device.

The Lumia 1520 I have lasts 2 days on a charge and I could get into a 3rd day if needed. The 6 inch screen is not for everyone though.

One thing I have noticed is that the old dumb phones acquire a better signal then a smart phone does.

I really hate the fact more and more smart phones becoming bigger. Even iPhone since 6.
I don't care battery as I have portable charger. But using phone by both hands is unacceptable for me, and many people also complain at least around me.
Maybe their main target are all giant??

I agree. I realize some folks want a larger screen to see what you are doing and to stop fat-fingering when typing, but that's what my PC with two large 22" wide screens monitors and full size keyboard are for.

I think their main target are PC and notebook users.

You can't really make a broad generalisation like that. Signal strength varies between one model of the phone to the next. Some smartphones have poor reception, others have excellent reception.
