Dumb phones have always been my favorite, I'm not into smartphones at all. I just need basic functionality, and I also think it's ridiculous how big smartphones have become, back in the days you looked like a fool when you used phones this big.
Likewise! It won't be a comeback for me. I've always had a dumb phone – cheap, functional – and does what I want it to do, eg, call out - and receive calls\messages. Call me old school, but I don't need to carry the internet around with me. (I have my laptop for that!)
Nope – I've never bothered to connect my phone to the net. Any interaction with the net I leave for my laptop (at home).
I mostly use my laptop as well. But during the times when I'm using my phone to browse I prefer to not sign-in to my account on forums I visit.
I'd love to buy a water-proof bar-shaped dumb-phone that has no camera, but not with those silly custom pop-ports of Sony-Ericsson phones.
I saw the trap, thus I kept using my old dumb-and-innocent phone. Great news people are finally starting to see the primary reason of the "smart" technologies.
