Here are 2 of the most current android tests: http://www.av-test.org/en/antivirus/mobile-devices/android https://www.pitci.net
Malwarebytes continues it's slide into irrelevancy, their Android product is miserable. Looks like the top players are still top players, Ahnlab pushing to the top with their new cloud based DNA system. Impressive. After a small hiccup with Beta, Sophos is back on top. Sophos is a very impressive mobile suite. After trying them all over the last few weeks, I like Avast, Bit Defender, and Sophos the best. Norton was a bit 'intensive' on bandwidth, and would freeze up when auto-scanning. (notification would say 'scanning' forever) Trend was chatty, and caused random apps to crash for some reason. Kaspersky was flat out buggy as hell. Bullguard worked, but was fugly, and their licenses aren't transferable to 'devices'. ESET slowed down my phones. Webroot worked ok, but lacks in detection ~Off topic comment removed.~ So yeah, for me and the 20 mobile/tablet devices, it's Avast, BD, or Sophos across the board, with Trend a contender if they fix the strange app crashing.
I was surprised at the relatively low detection of MBAM on Android. I wonder how repressentative a sample set of 2,950 is in the world of Android malware? Regarding Ahnlab V3 Mobile, did you try it on your android device?
Are you seeing low impact on resources with these? Id like to try one of these on a device but its lacking in mem.
