  2. Not ASLR enabled, so no go for me. Nice increase of the features of the free version though.

Seems silly these days when modern security software developers don't make use of ASLR and other built-in security features that are already available to them.

Could you not, in theory, use EMET for some of those processes and just simply enable the Mandatory ASLR mitigation?

Wow, I wonder why they decided to give this anti-SSL-Logger protection for free. And I also wonder what the purpose is of the TrustList?

    @ hogndog

I'm more interested in the technical aspect, why would they need a "trusted certificate list", and do they pro-actively scan for modifications to browser memory, like HMPA. That would be nice to know.

Could you please proved a link(s) to the Zemana page(s) relating to your references of "Trustlist" and "trusted certificate list"?
    Thanks.

I'm talking about the file in the "C\Program Files\Zemana AntiLogger Free" folder.

Good stuff. But already noticed it protects all version of Office except 2013. (tested it on 2003, 2007, 2010)

A few other things but I didn't write them down as I was short on time.

Are there many other Wilders members using Zemana Anitilogger free?

I believe it is unnecessary with HitmanPro.Alert, plus I don't really see the need for such software unless you're already infected.

I believe you are right, J_L. Uninstalled Zemana and installed HMP.A 3 RC.

    Cheers!

I use it. Figure it can't hurt... as long as I don't sense any conflicts/problems. Seems to exist just fine.

Well, the difference is that Zemana claims to block banking trojans (just like Trusteer, SpyShelter and Webroot), which in theory should prevent malware from infecting the browser, while HMPA only detects the infection. But the guys of SurfRight have already explained why they chose this method, it's because it's difficult to protect against malicious hooks, it will end up in a battle with as result a system or browser freeze.

Only detecting the infection would be an understatement, because HMP.A does have quite a few technologies for prevention as well.

Whatever you choose, I believe Wilders members will continue to have one of the lowest rates of infection across the web.

I was speaking about banking trojan detection. Like I said, other tools claim they can stop the infection, while HMPA only detects it. So as long as there aren't any conflicts, I don't see any reason why they can't be used at the same time. And if Zemana or SpyShelter gets bypassed, there is always HMPA who can tell you of the infection.

I had a pro license some time back, but kind of forgot all about it. For pro versions, does zemana protect keystrokes on offline applications such as notepad or word?

Hmmm. I just got around to noticing Free is no longer presented on the Zemana Web site. For the US site, that is. o_O
