Please, how knows inform me if there's robust cloud components in:
    Emsisoft Antimalware (licence),
    Avast free,
    AVG free,

any other well-know free cloud AV with huge off-line virus db (I already know Avira Personal, Baidu and Qihoo falls into the category, Panda Cloud free doesn't fall here - its local cash is not so huge).

I need only this info. By "robust" cloud component I mean that this component significantly increases detection of the off-line local base, like in 360TS and maybe in Comodo.

    Thank you.

Trend and Norton both retain offline databases while being heavily enhanced with cloud.

Hitman Pro in Early Warning System has a "dont know this file" type of cloud reference.

Not sure how effective the offline databases are for Trend and Norton. The marketing has me believe these two products are quite a bit more reliant on the cloud than on their database(s).

@OP: AVG does not use the cloud in a substantial manner. Cloud is used to verify FPs and it is leveraged to enhance the proactive real-time detection (AVG Identity Protection/Behaviour Blocker)

Avast does use the cloud AFAIK.

I'd say Trend has a more solid database - for now. Both products moving progressively towards the cloud. In the case of Trend, MalwareDNA types of technologies. In the case of Norton, more of a reputation/insight type of system. Both seem to be working very very well in their latest incarnations. 2016 should prove interesting with the betas starting soon for the 2016 versions.

Thank you very much. This is valuable piece of information for me.

@ all: Please discuss cloud components of only free AVs. AFAIK Trend and Norton mentioned here are not free.

As for Emsisoft AM (lic) - anybody knows if it has cloud component?

    Thank you.
