Here's a scr of Puran's options. Does anyone know which if any of these are a good idea?
The two I checked for a boot time defrag definitely didnt seem to hurt performance wise, so it made me curious as to whether any one has any experience with these settings.http://s29.postimg.org/i2zhb9z2v/puran.jpg

Careful with Puran, they bundle malware, or at least - PUA's that push the limits with their product now.

Anyway Optimization moves files and folders into more advantageous sectors based on their read/write propensity on the drive. That is - stuff that gets accessed a lot, gets moved to tighter sectors so it's slightly faster to access it. It does improvement performance, and some claim wear and tear. I've seen benchmarks that seem to substantiate this, so I generally choose to optimize. Although I have generally moved to SSD's across the board.

Puran is one of the best defragmenters I've used but I stopped using it after they have been aggressive with their PUA bundling! Any app that has PUAs gets thrown out the window for me. I either find a good paid app or some other alternative

I've been using the Boot-Time defrag mode of Puran v7.7 for some time on my Win7 SP1 x64 system (HDD) with a high degree of satisfaction (fwiw, Puran's boot-time defrag is the very best I have ever used). I don't believe it's productive to defrag very often so I will only run a defrag when either substantial changes take place on my HDD or every few months ...but when I do, I notice an improvement in system performance!

Ps. I have the 1st 4 'Additional Operations' enabled when defragging.
