Okay so this poll is kind of early. But I thought since AVs usually come out early anyways it won't matter much if we start a bit early as well. And I have a feeling that after this Thanksgiving weekend more people will get new paid AVs.

So which AVs are included on this poll is based on the results from the previous poll. It was just too many empty or negligible options to include all the AVs. So the methodology is as follows.
    1. If in the previous poll, antivirus failed to reach 5 votes minimum then it was disqualified from this poll.
    2. If an antivirus managed to gain at least 10 votes then it was given a paid vs free option.
AVG, F-Secure, G-data, Kasperky, McAffee, Trend Micro, Qihoo 360, Vipre are ones that were not included in this poll but received some votes in the previous one (less than 5). People are welcomed to write them in. Next poll they probably should be included to test if they picked up on popularity or not. Comodo didn't meat the criteria number 2 and was not given free or paid option.

Malwarebytes was included because it did very well in the previous poll.

Please refrain from using NONE option unless you are not using any antivirus at all on any of your computers at home. If you got 1 mac/linux device and 1 windows with AV then post the AV you use on Windows. This poll is only for home computers, not cell phones, not tablets, not work computers.

Also if you have more than one AV, please vote on the one you use the most.

I use Panda on my family computer and Linux on personal one. I like it for being light weight and simply and no annoyances.

That was quick. I see you took my suggestion.

    Here goes: None.

Update: seems like I was 2nd to vote None. Wonder who was the 1st.

I was going to put none since 95% of the time I do use Linux but since this is anti-virus poll and not linux poll I did pick the AV that I use for the reminder 5% of the time.

There are a couple of AVs which I would prefer (based on past experiences) but decided that since I'm not using them, I didn't vote.

None. Haven't used AVs on my own personal systems for a number of years.

Don't know who was the 1st, but I was the 3rd (or maybe 4th). WildByDesign and I appear to have voted at more or less the same time.

That's fair. I still depend on Windows for Netflix and Amazon and as a back up for other software that's Windows only.

Avira Pro on 2 computers, and no AV on 3 XP machines (I want to pay homage to Bo, Sandboxie is enough!).
I think the new poll differentiating between paid and free will reflect more accurately how many people are prepared to pay for an AV, although the number of members who cast a vote is usually too small to reflect a particular trend...

    Still ESET.

I will never use an AV that uses browser extensions/plugins for some of the product features, or includes toolbars, or bloat like defrag, tuneup, cleanup etc etc...

I've voted "not listed" as I'm using the free antivirus Virus Chaser 8.0. For the first time in a very long time, I can say I don't plan to switch antiviruses any time soon.

Okay so far looks like ESET is #1, Webroot #2 and Panda #3. Small pool of voters but lets see how this plays out. No AV is actual winner in this poll so far.

No Resident AV; just On-Demand Scanners.

I still think None and On-Demand only should be separated.

On demand is = not listed.
None means NO antivirus software whether on demand or not.

On demand has no resident present protecting the computer when not scanning so it is not a full on AV is it and should not be listed as such
