Created a recovery boot USB drive from HDM15Pro for WinPe. After booting and loading the files, it fails: Help greatly appreciated.
Did you make any changes to the UEFI configuration? This may help: system32\winload.efi Status 0xC0000428 error
Aha! I had swapped out the motherboard, which I guess is a pretty extreme version of changing the UEFI config. I created a new WinPE recovery USB drive and all is now well. I think I understand now. I wonder how much the BIOS config has to change for me to have to create a new recovery drive. I'm doing a lot of overclock tweaking, so I'll try to boot from the recovery drive after each change to better understand this limitation.
