Yep, I had this text sent to me by two friends (I don't trade, it was unsolicited). Since the link included a "SCR" file, I was smart enough not to open it. The next day I was sent a text form one of the same friends with a "PDF" link. So they are changing the scam.
Phew, I am glad I don't have these kinds of friends. I only use one steam game and I run that thru Sandboxie
Haha, but even if you did, I don't think you would take the bate anyway, you know better than to fall for stuff like this

All this $$$$ started since Valve introduced community market. Maybe I shouldn't complain because I'm one who got a few games using money earned from the Steam market, but when you see that every idiot out there is a Warren Buffett wannabe. It's sad.
Why would you run a game in Sandboxie? You'll have degraded performance and could potentially open up compatibility issues. I'd also be very cautious if this is an online game with anti-cheat in it. Not to mention that sandboxing a game wouldn't even save you from this "threat" you face. (Really, a screensaver? That's so 90's)
As with any platform, it pays to know when to spot something that is fishy. I, personally, have been getting an influx of friend requests from accounts that are questionable. Also, if anyone initiates a chat and they aren't in my friends list, I ignore them. If any of my friends do something that seem suspicious I close the chat and block that user. It's just a matter of not being smart but being savvy to anything that appears to be a form of social engineering. My 2 cents. Sincerely, Coresix
I accept friend requests from anyone and I click on any link, just to see, where it leads, never happened anything.
