Sounds cool! Apparently the Dutch are good at making cloud anti-malwares :)

I dunno, but for some reason I'm always skeptical about these kinda apps, not sure what to think about it. Also, why choose such a name, just to generate some buzz, I assume? I'm not into cloud AV anyway.

Yeah I don't like the name. At first I thought it was a new product by Intel since they bought McAfee.

They need a marketing department, or something to help them come up with better names.

    "FMA Intel-Secure (CCSU PR-Guard) Edition 2014"
"FMA Intel-Secure CBAD Cloud Antimalware 2014"
    "FMA Intel-Secure SBIM" &
    "FMA Intel-Secure System Hardening Shield"

I'm not sure which of these I should be using.

I agree, it's not catchy, and they should remove Intel from the name, it's a cheap marketing trick.

Its not that it needs 2Gb of RAM, however Windows 7 itself to work properly needs that hence why we did set 2Gb as a requirement,
However if you want to run it on just 256MB (Just for the sake of argument) then you our program is using less then 5MB ram as has been shown at the MT topic.

FMA Intel-Secure stands for: Forensic Malware Analysis and Intelligent Security or in short: FMA Intel-Secure (FMAIS)
We do not have a relation with Mcafee, and neither did we use their name as a marketing stunt, as TBH i want to stay away as far as i can from Mcafee lol. Besides that the name FMA Intel-Secure has been around for years now, however we worked freelance for other companies hence why we have not been visible on the net. It is only recently that i have decided to turn it into a full company next to my day to day job.
We got to start somewhere right?
Anyway i do not care much about a catchy name, its all about the product afterall its not the name that sells.

Marketing department? Maybe in the future, right now we have no use for it as we are just to small for it, besides that due to my work and the connections that come along with it, our name is already out there as most partners work with me and my team for what? 10 years now?
So that marketing part is sort of done.
Its only recently that we started to develop our own software. And while the UI looks not that good, the programs work and work well, the rest will solve itself as time passes.
CCSU PR-Guard is a forensic tool that allows a system admin to check a system from to to bottom and create logs that are so accurate that they can be used in a court, and so far since we developed this software we have been asked several times by our clients to investigate their systems after they noticed that they got hacked or did have a data intrusion due to a external party. So together with specialists and law enforcement personnel we have been able to trace back and document the events in such way that our logs have been used in over 15 court cases and we did have 11 convictions so its working and working well.
However in the future we will develop more eye candy in terms of UI and make things much more professional looks wise.
But as i mentioned before we all have to start small.

In regards to SBIM this is also going to be a forensic tool that works in tandem with CCSU guard and while it has completely different functions it sort of does the same.

The system hardening shield is going to be a home & industry security solution similar to a internet security suit but then more towards the actual hardening of the OS itself and its policy settings and such, and as we speak this is being developed.

Anyway long story short, if you guys have any questions or comments then you can always reply here, or contact me on MT (Nico@FMA) or you can contact me directly trough the webpage (contact).

    Kind Regards,
    FMA Intel-Secure Support
    Nico (CEO & Founder)

The point is, most people will initially think it's an Intel product, and when they find out it's not, it might feel a bit "funny". Also, at some point, Intel Corporation might ask you to choose another name for your products or even company.

Nope Intel Corp will not ask me to change my name, for the plane and simple reason that the trade mark office EU, NL and US have approved the name as unique, and there is a legal time limit where Intel Corp or any other company can dispute the name, and this time is passed for US territory and EU territory, however only here in the Netherlands they use a longer time limit which is almost passed.
So the point you are making (while valid to some degree) is not a issue.

Intel Corp will not make a problem out of my name.

    Kind Regards Nico

Regarding the naming, if I am a user looking for something like an antivirus program, or internet security, I wouldn't know which FMA product to use. Are all the products in independent? Or do you just need one for protection. Yeah, someone could read lengthy descriptions full of jargon that might not make sense to most people, but I suspect most won't go through the trouble, and just use a different program.

OK cool, so you got this covered. I still don't like the name though, but of course the quality of the product is more important.

I agree, as I also wasn't sure at first if they were affiliated with Intel.

    As you can see.
I hope this answered your questions.

Yes some AV vendors do detect our software as potentially malicious due to the fact that our software is new and does not have a reputation rating yet.
You can disregard the alerts given by your AV as i can guarantee that our software is clean.
You can also upload our file to virus total and see for your self, or you can watch the MT topic as loads of people have already submitted our files to their favorite AV vendor for whitelisting.
The software is clean its that simple.

    Cheers

Yes, I've seen this chart and is it confusing. Does the "Antimalware" protect me, or will I also need the "hardening shield", "PR Guard", etc.. I think the company needs to do a better job explaining how everything fits. And from what I've seen so far, it doesn't seem very open to peoples feedback.

Right sorry i did misunderstood you.
The antimalware package is at this very point a secondary on demand scanner, however we are working on a RT (realtime version) which will be released soon.

The system hardening shield could be compared to the following programs:
    The Secunia Online Software Inspector
    Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer MBSA
    Secure-It
    Winpatrol
    Sandboxie

Our H-Shield does sort of combine features found in these programs and adds advanced options of our own with the aim to provide a next level layer in terms of OS and Software hardening. And while both our antimalware program and our System hardening program are standalone programs they can work in tandem and they will be designed as such. To provide a so called 360 or all in one protection.
But as you probably figured our software line is going trough a major development and testing phase so right now i would advise you to stick with your own favo protection software and if you wish to use our software then use it as a secondary type of software so you can test and familiarize yourself with it.
In the near future our software will be mature and fully developed and only then i would optionally advise to fully replace your security software with our software and give it a full test spin.

However right now i do realize that our software during development and testing phase is just not good enough to provide the level of protection you might be using right now. Ones everything is in place and fully developed then i am confident that we will surprise friend and foe.

But that being said what do you find confusing on our website? as its all pretty straight forward, it is not rocket science as its pretty much all explained..
So what would you like to see?

    Kind Regards Nico

I think I've spelled out a few times now what I think is confusing about your product. As myself and other people have mentioned, the names don't do a good job describing what the product is. Is it a AV program? An full internet suite? A on-demand scanner? In most products, the name makes it pretty clear what they are offering. For instance "AVG Antivirus", "Comodo Internet Security", etc... Again having Intel in the name is misleading, regardless of what you feel about the matter. Having a bunch of acronyms and abbreviations in the programs titles may make sense to those within your company, but not the layperson looking for something to replace their current AV solution. I've been reading this forum for about eight years, and testing antimalware programs for many of those. I find it odd I have to read through 3-4 paragraphs filled with jargon to try to figure out what the product does. Yes, you have now spelled it out in your post above, but I believe your products are poorly named.

It seems rather than take peoples feedback seriously, you just say everything's fine and people just need to re-read the website a few more times. Perhaps your target market is industry experts, and you will not be courting the home user. Or maybe there's a communication issue on my part, so I'll just move along.

EDIT: "FMA Intel-Secure (CCSU PR-Guard) Edition 2014" I would bet someone reading that title would have no idea if it is a firewall, an AV, a full security suite, an on-demand scanner, webfilter, etc...

True. They should consider renaming the product(s).

No no its not that i take you guys to seriously, and neither do i disregard your words.
The feedback you are giving is valuable, look i am not perfect and if there are things people do not understand then its my job to make them understand. Otherwise whats the point of having a site with information on it.

That being said i will see what can be done about all this.

    Cheers

Is there a TL;DR on pricing, and limitations of free versions?
