It was inevitable.. and let me say... FINALLY! Gorgeous interface, now let's run it through some tests.
Agreed that turned me off immediately. Also the fact that there is no auto-clean mode, and it's Chinese. I tend to limit exposure of systems, especially more crucial ones to Chinese based tech products. The uninstaller works pretty cleanly though.
Martin Brinkmans views on it.... http://www.ghacks.net/2014/10/02/ccleaner-alternative-clean-master-released-for-windows-pcs/
I'm seriously considering installing both Chinese and American stuff on my machine and let them fight it out. With any luck, they'd both neutralise the other and keep any malware off to boot?! Hmmmm.
Funny, but I also thought of this... US stuff, neutralizing CN/RU state sponsored malware. CN/RU stuff neutralizing US Sponsored.. Layered approach, effective. There is some logic to that approach.
Yes, why does a disk cleaner need to load a driver, what is the purpose? That's an immediate red flag for me.
Very nice interface, but it did not find anything noticeable compared to my current cleaners, only logs and backups. Its registry cleaner's findings are questionable.
