Far too general a question. They are differently configured, have different sets of tools available that can effect security. We don't know what you would/will use either for, what is important to you. Both have a respectable history of providing sensible defaults and being responsive to fixing important security bugs. So without knowing any specifics the answer is they are as good as each other
Thankyou, Im just using it for general use only. I sort of thought they were probably both on a par when it came to security. Am I correct is saying that Fedora is more focused on using free and open source software then Ubuntu?
I think you are right. I personally prefer Ubuntu, as it's more convenient and user friendly (at least for me).
