How good is Dell's backup and rescue creating program? When I first got my shinny new Dell I created A restore USB stick but have not used it yet. It allows the creation of CDs also.

I sometimes browse the Dell forums, have read about many problems with this software. Example: apparently, you can only use the backup USB stick that you created to restore to the same original disk, not to another "OEM" disk. You could check the Dell forums.

If you want to follow the image backup route, use one of the standard and tested backup programs, such as Macrium Reflect or the Terabyte programs.

Ok so unless I need a new hard drive the program works just fine?

Ok so which one do you recommend? I have used Terabytes before and had issues.

I advocated Solid state hard drives back in the 90's I am happy to see they are now a vialiable reality.
