Bloody revolution! Dedoimedo likes Fedora. Yup, this is along, thorough and surprisingly enthusiastic review of Fedora 20 Heisenbug 64-bit edition, with the KDE desktop, tested in a quad-boot setup on a laptop with Intel graphics and SSD, covering live session, installation and post-install usage, including Wireless, Samba, partitioning, package management & updates, easyLife for extra software and codecs, multimedia playback - HD video (WebM with Xvid and Lame), Flash and MP3, applications, additional software like Steam and Skype, web camera, desktop effects, touchpad configuration, printing, resource usage, stability, suspend & resume, look & feel, heavy and beautiful customization with new themes and decorations, and more. Enjoy most profoundly.

I almost wrote Jebote, hvala bogu! but I'm not that religious.
Great to read you've finally found a version allowing you to acquire a taste for the chique hat.
    Heisenbug runs fine here also.
I was always a bit disappointed when you'd come across borky stuff that I never encountered running this distro. Finally a much more refined experience.
Looking forward to more Redhat/Fedora related reviews.
    Thanks Mrk.

Trying it out with the Gnome desktop (now I have a spare laptop drive to play with).
Is not as well configured out of the box for my liking as Ubuntu, but seems to be a fraction faster (UI and things like package manager). Zero stability problems.

One more thing. While this version might be amazing I am reluctant to commit myself long term to any Linux distro that doesn't have stability as one of it's core values.

Just finished installing Fedora 20 on a friend's PC. Updated it, installed EasyLife and Nvidia drivers just as explained in Dedoimedo's tutorial http://www.dedoimedo.com/computers/fedora-nvidia-guide.html

My friend elected to use the Gnome environment, which I never used myself before. I believe Gnome still has a place as Linux DE, alongside Unity (my preferred one), KDE (very impressive in openSUSE).

To make a long story short, everything works perfectly fine, except for two things I didn't manage to resolve yet:
--When installing certain extensions in LibreOffice I get the folloxing error: ImplementationRegistration::registerImplementation() - The service com.sun.star.loader.Python cannot be instantiated.
--Trying to import mp3 files into Audacity does not work, dunno why since lame is installed and running on Fedora.

But all in all, Fedora 20 is a very nice surprise indeed! Will try and install it on a Windows/openSUSE/Ubuntu multiboot next.

    Thanks I.L.! :)

Managed to solve the Audacity problem by removing Audacity [sudo yum remove audacity] and installing audacity-freeworld :)

Yes, F20 is finally a good release, after many average ones.

Any tip as how to solve the LibreOffice extensions issue [some extensions are accepted, others not]!?
