i've converted dell deminsion 4600 xp over to xubuntu 14.04 over a month ago. after installing xubuntu i had no audio. there have been 3 to 4 os/kernel updates (password required) and after everyone i lose my audio. in the past i've managed to turn the audio on but never knowing how i did it-just clicking. it's been week and half now but still no audio. i really like linux and find myself using it more everyday but this audio thing is starting to bug me. thanks for any help. topo

Ubuntu 14.04 and even 14.04.1 are not mature yet IMHO. Lots of bugfixes to go in the next months. I'm back on Ubuntu 12.04.5
