I still don't feel the need to use mobile security. I know the day is coming though.

Hahahaha and i think the same BUT for me the AV/AM is just a bonus.
The main reason i use these apps are for the anti theft features.

I believe there is an absolute need. I am shocked that malware is not more prevalent on mobile devices, most people now a days use their mobile device for everything, banking, social media, surfing the web, and 99% of people have no anti-virus protection on their devices.... it's such an easy target for malware. Think of how easy it would be to steal passwords, sensitive data etc. I predicted a while back that malware is going to explode on these devices and luckily that hasn't happened yet..... but sadly it will.

People still nag about how AV's aren't needed because tehy consume the entire battery. The reality is, 99% of the time, Android AV's are not consuming anything. They are only invoked when installing apps anyway, so i really can't understand people obsessing over it and not using it just because of that. Install the best one and be worry free more than you'd ever be without it. Plus most detect annoying apps that have those Air push crap ads in them, one reason to have AV installed.

    Agree with @mnosteele .
@RejZoR Most Android AVs (mainly paid ones) also have web protection feature and so keeps active during web browsing. but I agree that the Good AVs hardly affect battery performance.

If you just install apps from Google Play Store you can be worry free without any AV. :thumb: No problems, no malware since 2009, it's so easy. :thumb:

I have to disagree, numerous apps have been discovered on the Google Play Store that were malicious in one way or another.
I for one would not be connected to the net with any device without some form of protection. I have come across a few myself. Google '' Malicious apps on Google Play Store '' and you will see that it's not immune to infection.

AV-Test says that 360 Security has safebrowsing and secure payment features which is not mentioned either on Google play or on 360safe.com. Where did they get these info from?!!

I use Avast! Premium Paid on my phone and it works great. No battery consumption at all.

Tsk tsk tsk, this is what happens if mobile phones try to do more things than what they have been destined for. I wonder if pagers ever be back to life again they would need an AV. :D

Using CM Security as well as Clean Master on my new phone, cause why not? So far loving the app passwords, front camera anti-theft, and exploit mitigation.
